Christina Penka is a program specialist for the North Omaha Pilot Project.  Christina primarily works with sixth grade students and she says that aspect that she loves the most about her job is the opportunity to work with awesome students in a fun, creative, and educational environment.

Christina earned a degree in psychology from Seattle University.  While in school, Christina participated in a pilot service learning trip to Belize City, Belize, Central America, where she spent four months volunteering at an orphanage and teaching English and math skills at a YWCA.  Recently Christina received her master’s degree in Liberal Studies from Creighton University.

When Christina is not working, she participates in Omaha Table Talk and volunteers with Project Homeless Connect Omaha.  She also loves traveling, camping, cooking, and reading.
